This website is full of information to help you manage your mental well being. It has been designed to help you feel mentally well by offering lifestyle advice, information on what can be accessed locally and how to receive further support.
The Live Life Well website has an online self help section covering depression, anxiety and sleep problems (all based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy).
What is Self Help?
Self help uses techniques that you learn yourself. They help you to manage your mental health as well as situations or problems which may arise.
These can include:
* Learning about your condition and what's happening
* Altering unhelpful behavior
* Noticing and challenging unhelpful thinking
* Problem solving
* Goal setting
Self help is proved to be extremely helpful when experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Follow the online self help sections for Depression, Anxiety and Sleep Problems. Which are based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Many people who have felt mood changes may have felt an emotional crisis at some time in their lives. For some, this passes quickly but for others the feeling lasts for a while.
If you or someone you care for describes feeling so distressed that suicidal thoughts are a worry, then visit the "Thoughts of Suicide" section of the Live Life Well website. There are different sections such as "why do I feel this way?" and "getting help and keeping safe" which may help. A personalised "Keep safe Plan" can also be downloaded in this section.
